iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale

The iPhone 16 Black Friday sale on Flipkart has completely changed my mind about upgrading. I’m going to be straight with you – I’ve had my eye on the iPhone 16 Black Friday sale for months now, but every time I looked at that Rs 69,999 price tag, my brain just went nope, absolutely not happening. But then something changed during this Flipkart Black Friday sale, and suddenly the iPhone 16 Black Friday sale became impossible to ignore.

The iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale Price Drop That Changed Everything

So I was just scrolling through Flipkart on my lunch break bad habit, I know, and there it was – iPhone 16 sitting at Rs 56,999. I actually had to double-check because when this thing launched, it was Rs 69,999. That’s thirteen thousand rupees off! I literally called my friend Rajesh and was like dude, are you seeing this?

Now I know what you’re thinking – 57k is still a lot of money. This was one of those times.

The funny thing is, I almost bought it during the Diwali sale but my wife convinced me to wait. She said there’ll be another sale, there’s always another sale. And turns out she was right. Though I’m not going to tell her that because she’ll never let me hear the end of it.

How to Actually Get the iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale Deal (Because It’s Not Just the Sticker Price)

First thing – exchange offers. I haven’t gone through the whole process yet because I’m scared they’ll lowball me, but from what I can see, you can potentially save a few more thousand depending on your old phone’s condition.

Then there’s these bank offers. I’ve got an ICICI credit card that I mostly use for groceries, and there’s some instant discount thing happening. I tried to understand the terms and conditions but man, those things are written in a language that even English teachers like me can’t fully decode. Something about minimum purchase amounts and specific card types. If you’ve got the right card though, you could knock off another chunk of money.

Also EMI options are there. Now personally, I’m terrible with EMIs. I once signed up for a no-cost EMI for a laptop and completely forgot about it till I got a reminder email three months later. But if you’re more organized than me which isn’t hard, the Bajaj FinServ thing could make the payment easier. Just… set reminders. Lots of reminders.

Why I Waited This Long for the iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale (And Whether It Was Worth It)

I could’ve bought the iPhone 15 last year. Or the 14 the year before. It’s a vicious cycle, really.

The thing about the iPhone 16 though – it’s got this new chip, the A18 or whatever they’re calling it. I watched a few YouTube videos trying to understand what makes it special. Something about AI features and better performance.

Battery life is another big one. Right now my phone barely makes it to evening before begging for a charger. The iPhone 16 supposedly lasts much longer. I haven’t tested it myself yet obviously, but if it means I’m not constantly searching for a charging point during parent-teacher meetings, I’m sold.

The Whole iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale Experience in India

Now it’s everywhere here too. Flipkart, Amazon, every shopping app is having Black Friday sales. It’s kind of become bigger than our own traditional sale periods sometimes.

This particular sale started around November 21st or so, if I remember correctly. I wasn’t paying super close attention at first because honestly these sales happen so often that they all blur together. Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, Diwali specials, New Year sales… it’s exhausting keeping track.

What I’m Actually Worried About with the iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale

I know Flipkart has return policies and all that, but still. The anxiety is real. My friend got a smartwatch delivered once and the box was completely crushed. Luckily the watch was fine, but imagine if that happens with an iPhone.

The Timing Factor Should You Wait or Buy the iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale Now?

Here’s my dilemma right now. The sale’s going on, the price is decent, but there’s this nagging feeling that maybe there’ll be an even better deal during Christmas or New Year sales. This is the curse of being someone who overthinks everything.

My practical side says – just buy it now if you’ve been wanting it. The price is Rs 13,000 less than launch price, you can afford it, stop overthinking. But then the other part of me is like but what if it drops to 50k next month and you’ll feel like an idiot?

I talked to a few other teacher friends about this. One of them said he never waits for sales, just buys when he needs something. Another one said she only buys during sales and has saved thousands of rupees over the years. So basically, no one knows what the right answer is. We’re all just guessing and hoping we made the right call.

The thing about technology prices though – they generally keep dropping over time, right? So if I wait six months, sure it might be cheaper. But then I’ve also lost six months of using a better phone.

Final Thoughts on the iPhone 16 Black Friday Sale And Whether I’m Actually Going to Buy It

The exchange offer, bank discount, all those extra savings – I’m going to try to stack as many as I can. Worst case scenario, I save a thousand or two more. Best case, I knock off another five thousand. Either way, it’s better than paying the full launch price.

If you’re reading this and you’re in the same boat as me – wanting to upgrade but scared of the price – I’d say go check out what your old phone is worth in exchange. Calculate what the bank offers might give you. Do the math properly because I’m terrible at math and even I managed to figure out it’s a decent deal.
